Let’s Nosh: a board book good enough to eat!

Let’s Nosh is part of the World Snacks series. There are seven books in the series and each focuses on a different ethnic food. They’re all the same size, five and a half inches square. They each have the same illustration style, photographs of collage and mixed media. And they’re all pretty great.

The rhyming text is simple and appropriate to the topic. In Let’s Nosh, young readers are introduced to latkes, bagels, and matzoh.

The art is uncluttered, colorful, and perfectly depicts the food being discussed.

The back page contains a glossary describing each of the foods introduced in the book, in case you’re not sure what tsimmes is. (It’s a carrot and fruit stew. I had no idea!)

Fill up on the other books in the series too!

My First Book of Sushi was the first in the series and was wildly popular at Books of Wonder.

Yum Yum Dim Sum is full of Chinese delights.

Mangia! Mangia! is all about Italian cuisine.

In A Little Bit of Soul Food learn about grits, mac-n-cheese and collard greens.

¡Hola! Jalapeño will leave you craving burritos and quesadillas.

Chaat and Sweets is the latest book in the series and focuses on Indian treats.
